Now in the role of commentator, Jorge Lorenzo highlighted the composure of compatriot Jorge Martín and compared him to two-time MotoGP World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia. The victory achieved in Portimão is proof of the maturity of the ‘Martinator’, or ‘Calculator’, as he is referred to.
On the DAZN broadcast, the former three-time premier class champion interviewed the current championship leader. In response to one of the questions, the young Spanish rider from Prima Pramac Racing stated:
‘Well, especially on a mental level, I believe that with the help of my psychologists we have worked on important things that made me weaker. I try to control things and now I have to accept them and be calmer. During the race, I focused, I know what I have to think about’.
The 2024 season will be crucial for Martín (Prima Pramac Racing) and could culminate in joining the main Ducati team or transferring to one of the competing factories.
