Great day for Sebastian Bühler at the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid. The Portuguese-German rider was the winner of the second stage of this round of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) and closed in on Tosha Schareina’s lead.
The route was 166km timed, with Bühler (Hero MotoSports) taking 1h47m59s. He beat Adrien van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda) by 1m09s. Bruno Santos (Husqvarna) finished third, 1m58s behind, with Bradley Cox (BAS World KTM Racing Team) and Skyler Howes (Monster Energy Honda) completing the top five.
After yesterday’s double victory, Schareina (Monster Energy Honda) finished sixth on this second day of the race, losing 2m48s to the fastest rider. António Maio was the third of the Portuguese riders, finishing in eighth place aboard his Yamaha.
In the overall standings, Schareina kept the lead, but now only has a 2m56s advantage over Bühler who moved up to second place. Howes is third at 4m17s, while Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco) dropped to fourth. Maio completes the top five and another Portuguese rider is among the top ten. Santos, in seventh.
