Looking at the speeds in the main race in Portimão, the Portuguese from Trackhouse Racing was the one who recorded the highest speed – reaching 350.6km/h aboard his Aprilia RS-GP. In second place was Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM), third in the race classification, with 348.3km/h.
Two other riders reached the same speed as the Spaniard – Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) and Álex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha). Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) was the race winner, but even in the highly competitive Desmosedici GP24, he had the third worst top speed.
In terms of average top speed, Oliveira also had the best – 348.9km/h, compared to Espargaró’s 347.6km/h and Marc Márquez’s 347.2km/h (Gresini/Ducati). Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac/Ducati), who also recorded the lowest top speed, was the slowest in average top speed – 338.1km/h.
