It is already this Sunday, April 7, that Vila Verde hosts the celebrations of National Motorcycle Day.
Since 1997, the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation has been promoting National Motorcycle Day, which has been held annually throughout the country, with its celebration only interrupted in 2020 and 2021, due to the pandemic.
Therefore, this is the 26th edition of National Motorcycle Day and, after Chaves in 2023, the celebration returns to the north of the country this Sunday, April 7, this time in Vila Verde, Braga, with logistics handled by Moto Club de Prado.
The entertainment begins the day before, with a welcome to the motorcyclists with a musical show starting at 10:00 PM, but the National Motorcycle Day program takes place from 11:00 AM on Sunday, with a toast to the representatives of the motorcycle clubs present. The celebrations begin at 2:00 PM at the Vila Verde Fairground, with a procession in honor of the patron saint of motorcyclists, Saint Raphael, and the usual presence of the GNR Cavalry Band. The liturgical ceremony, presided over by the Archbishop of Braga, D. José Cordeiro, takes place from 3:00 PM.
Safe travels to all who are heading to Vila Verde to celebrate this day that has a special meaning for many motorcyclists.
