Fermín Aldeguer is one of the current standout riders in MotoGP. His promotion to the premier class in 2025 has recently been confirmed, with a direct contract with Ducati although he is expected to start in a satellite team.
During a press conference, the Spanish rider talked about what he still needs to do before his debut in MotoGP: ‘I think that in order to make the leap, I need to gain more experience in managing all situations mentally. But we have to wait for the feeling on the bike, because I think the MotoGP one is completely different from Moto2 or Moto3. I have to wait for this, and look at the fastest riders in the Valencia test‘.
Aldeguer’s future is therefore defined, passing through MotoGP which is where all riders aspire to reach. However, this does not take away his focus from the current task in Moto2, as he assured:
– Now the contract is there. I have to go race by race, enjoy this moment because I think we can have a very good year and fight for the title. For me, I believe it’s easy not to think about MotoGP, just come here with the mentality of last year, and go race by race to improve, to gain more experience.
