In 2023, for the third consecutive year, MotoGP revenues grew. The data was presented at a conference by Liberty Media with investors following the acquisition announcement.
The numbers presented show 486 million euros in revenue, compared to the 475 million euros from the previous year. The adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was 179 million euros.
On the other hand, there were capital expenses of five million euros, corresponding to one percent of revenue. This financial development occurs in a context where the 2023 season had one more round than the previous one, in addition to being marked by the introduction of Sprint races and the new weekend format.
According to Dorna’s CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, at a conference with investors, three million people passed through the circuits during the last season. There was also growth in social media and digital channels, with nearly 500 million households reached through television broadcasts worldwide.
