The world of motorcycling is in mourning after the announcement of the death of Troy Beinlich, who passed away yesterday during the Hockenheim 1000 km.
The round marks the opening of the German Endurance Cup, the Deutschen Langstrecken Cup (DLC), and it was during this event that Beinlich, 21, suffered an accident from which he would not recover.
Despite attempts to revive the rider, nothing worked, with the young man succumbing to the serious injuries sustained on the scene. The event organization did not provide much information about the dramatic accident and immediately suspended the event.
The race was a preparation for the upcoming IDM season, where it was expected that the rider would participate, as he already had several years of experience in the SSP300 with Vitori-BRT.
To the family of Troy Beinlich and friends, Motorcycling extends its deepest condolences.
