Two of the three riders who stood on the podium of the Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix have in common the manager Albert Valera. The man who manages the careers of winner Jorge Martín and third-placed Pedro Acosta did not hide his joy for the performance of the two Spanish riders in Portimão.
‘Martín and Acosta deserve to go to the main team,’ Valera said to AS, referring to Ducati Lenovo and Red Bull KTM Factory, respectively.
‘If we analyze Jorge’s performance since the second half of last year’s championship and how he started this year with podiums in the two sprint races and in the two races, it’s spectacular. He has numbers that demonstrate he deserves a place in the official Ducati team,’ he added.
‘Regarding Pedro, we are only on the second Grand Prix with GasGas, very happy with the work they are doing, we will enjoy the moment and if everything goes naturally, Pedro will end up in the official KTM team. He is a very special boy that they will not let slip away’, pointed out Valera.
After two rounds of this edition of the MotoGP World Championship, Martín (Prima Pramac Racing/Ducati) leads with 60 points and Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) is in fifth place with 28 points.
