Miguel Oliveira concluded the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix in ninth place. It was the first time he managed to finish in the top ten since sixth place in last year’s San Marino GP.
The Trackhouse Racing Portuguese driver felt after qualifying that a top ten result – like the one he achieved – would be ‘ideal’. And, despite thinking he could have gone further, he was pleased:
– There were two possible outcomes: without crashes, it was ninth place, with the crashes it was ninth as well, but without that incident in the first corner, I would have finished in sixth place. So, let’s say it’s not entirely a negative result.
