Sunday’s MotoGP race in Portugal was marked by a true clash of titans involving Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez, and opinions are divided on who is to blame. Race Direction considered the moment a racing incident and chose not to penalize (at least for now) any of those involved, but according to Aleix Espargaró, one of the participants has a little more… blame.
After the race in Portimão, which ended with Jorge Martín as the winner, very close to the end Marc Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia were involved in a very heated moment on track that ended with both on the ground.
#41 analyzed the accident in question and considers it a ‘racing incident’, although he is of the opinion that the current world champion should have been more restrained and given space to the Gresini rider:
– An incident in the race at the end, it’s a corner where things happen every year, but I think Pecco should have given him more space. I think he was very aggressive after passing Marc. There are times when we are overtaken and it’s frustrating, but we can’t try to be so aggressive, I think he should have given him more space.
