Linked to Gresini only until the end of 2024, Marc Márquez has his future in MotoGP open. Davide Tardozzi, team manager of Ducati, does not exclude the Spanish rider from the list of options for the official team of the Italian manufacturer next year.
Questioned at a press conference about this possibility, the six-time world champion of the premier class did not give a direct answer, emphasizing only that he is focused on his work and is not in a hurry to decide the future:
– Of course my situation is completely different from the past. In the past, by December I had already signed the contract for the following year. Right now I am not in a hurry; I just want to focus on myself, try to do my best on the track, and I know that if I enjoy myself and I am fast, I have more chances to choose a place. But for now I don’t want to talk; I just want to focus on myself, on what I did in Qatar, on what I will do here. Some races will be better, some races worse, but I will just try to give 100 percent because I know that in sports it is the present that matters, not the past. The present is like this and I need to work because there are two, three, four riders faster than me.
