This week rumors surfaced about Pedro Acosta having compartmental syndrome problems in his left arm that would lead him to be examined and possibly operated on after the Qatar GP. However, the rookie denied the situation.
According to the international press, these alleged physical problems were associated with the drop in performance in the final phase of the Losail race. However, Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) assured that there are no physical problems, having been conditioned by the tires:
– All is well with the arms. After all, if you look at the replays, on lap 14 I was burning the tire in turn ten. It was more than clear that I would have difficulties in the final part of the race. That’s how it is. Also when I was riding in Moto2 with Dunlop, we would do 24 laps flat out without thinking about the tires. It also came a bit from there. Anyway, that’s how it is. We needed to make this mistake so we can learn for the future.
