The beginning of the MotoGP season was not particularly encouraging for Maverick Viñales, who finished ninth in the Sprint race and tenth in the main race at the Qatar GP. The results fell short of expectations and the potential felt.
– I think we need to be strong, we need to be motivated. Of course, Doha did not reflect our potential, so we have to keep working, we have to stay focused. Here in Portimão is a good track especially for me, but also for the bike – particularly for this year’s bike I believe it will be strong, I hope. Because looking at the aerodynamic load and all the things the bike is bringing to the data, it could be a very good track for us.
