Marc Márquez moved to Gresini in the 2024 MotoGP season, with the aim of showing that he can still be competitive with the right equipment after facing difficulties in recent years with Honda.
The rider has been modest about his chances while many see him as a strong title contender. His rival Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) told Motosprint that #93 has everything to succeed:
– He is the most talented rider in the championship, on the best bike in the field. One plus one equals two. We will simply see how long it takes him to get there, but he will be one of the strongest. I also know the Gresini team well, having competed with Aprilia Gresini, and the team is very familiar and nice. He has everything to show that he can win.
Dans tous les cas, Espargaró considère que Francesco Bagnaia et Jorge Martín sont les candidats les plus forts pour le titre. Et, pour lui, l’homme d’Aprilia vise un ‘top trois dans le championnat‘ – un objectif qu’il n’a pas manqué de peu en 2022 et 2023.
