Despite the good result in Qatar, Johann Zarco believes that the Honda LCR he leads still has a good margin for improvement.
‘I had less speed, I couldn’t fight with the other riders as I wanted at the beginning of the race, at least I didn’t feel a big vibration like on Saturday. It would be hard to ask for much more for the weekend’, declared the Frenchman to TNT Sports.
In this return to LCR Honda, Zarco finished the race at the Losail circuit in 12th place and scored four points.
‘We got good information. Portimão has a different track. I hope to see what the behavior of the bike will be to continue learning. The bike also has good things. In terms of sensations, it was the best transition I could expect because the way of riding the Honda is almost easier than the Ducati. The Honda is slower. It is a pleasure to be on top of the bike, but it is evident that it is necessary to improve the lap time’, added the French rider.
The Portuguese Grand Prix is scheduled for next weekend at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
