This week the World Superbike Championship had two tests in Barcelona and one of the riders who once again stood out was Andrea Iannone, who ended the tests with the fourth fastest time in the combined classification.
Looking at his performance on track, the Italian, who is making his debut in WSBK and returning from a four-year hiatus in the championship, was quite satisfied: ‘It was a good day of testing, I am pleased with the team’s work and I think little by little my feeling with the bike and tires is improving, making me more and more competitive. In the first few days I struggle a bit more, due to the long break, but then I quickly return to interesting levels, surprising myself with our results’.
He then concluded his analysis of the work with a positive note: ‘I am happy with the way we worked with the team and with the support from Ducati. I thank Gigi Dall’Igna, Claudio Domenicali, Paolo Ciabatti, Mauro Grassilli, and the entire Go Eleven team for their support. This week we hope to recover well and find similar conditions during the race weekend’.
