Lucas Oil Stadium hosted the second Triple Crown of the season and the on-track action was insane! In the three main races, the script was similar, with Ken Roczen leading the first six laps, except in one of the races, and then Jett Lawrence winning, once again showing that he is in an unstoppable form.
Roczen got the holeshot and led all the first six laps, but it was the championship leader who took the victory, leading the rest of the 10 laps before crossing the finish line in first place. Roczen was second and Chase Sexton, the defending champion, finished third. Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson rounded out the top five positions.
Race 2:
What could have been a perfect copy, was only not because this time it was Jett Lawrence who got the holeshot, but once again it was Roczen who led the first (six) laps, before the Honda rider took over the lead and never let it go again. The top? You guessed it: Lawrence, Roczen, and Sexton, while this time Aaron Plessinger took fourth place, ahead of Cooper Webb.
Race 3:
In the last race of the day in the 450 class, Lawrence had the best start once again and managed to get the holeshot, but Roczen returned to lead the race and hoped for a different outcome… which was partly achieved, but not completely: he led for a longer period this time, ten laps, before Lawrence took the lead again, finishing with another victory, the hattrick. Sexton was second this time and Roczen third, with Webb finishing fourth ahead of Anderson.
