The big sensation of the World Superbike Championship at the beginning of this season is Nicolò Bulega. The Aruba.it Ducati rider is making his debut in the category but has already won a race, and this week he dominated the tests in Barcelona – he even set a lap time better than the official circuit record.
For Toprak Razgatlioglu, it is satisfying to have another rival in the fight for victories. The Turkish rider told GPOne.com that Bulega is lucky to ride a Ducati and wouldn’t have as many advantages with another bike, but he still acknowledged his merit:
– When I came to Superbike, I had almost no experience, before that I only rode Superstock 600 and 1000, and I rode a Kawasaki and not a Ducati. He is in a lucky position and is very fast, with another bike it wouldn’t be as easy to ride this way, but on the Ducati he is fantastic. But [Michael Ruben] Rinaldi has been riding that bike for years and is already very fast. I am happy to have another rider to compete with.
