As is known, Yamaha is one of the MotoGP constructors that has more concessions for the 2024 season, alongside Honda. This gives access to various benefits in the development of the bike, from the possibility of testing more to greater permission for different specifications.
Álex Rins, one of the riders from the Iwata team, was asked about what the biggest advantage of these concessions is. The Spanish rider explained that they are beneficial on several levels:
– I think it’s a mix between testing more and improving and developing the bike. It is certain that during the season we have some tests planned and this is important. But we also need to think about the time to produce new items and we need to look at the calendar because as you know we have many races, many days away from home. And sometimes the best recovery for the body is to have days off. So, after the test we ask for some things, maybe we have new things to try in the next test.
