Francesco Bagnaia was crowned MotoGP world champion for the second time last year, but it was far from a season without obstacles to overcome. At one point, he struggled with the Desmosedici GP23, but quickly felt more comfortable with this year’s GP24.
The Italian said in a press conference: ‘I have to say that at the beginning of the 2023 season I was very happy, but I started to have some difficulties on Fridays and the work to be done on the bike was sometimes huge. And more in the second part of the season I had some difficulties being aggressive and explosive’.
Regarding this year’s bike, Bagnaia mentioned that the feeling quickly improved: ‘As soon as I started with the new bike, maybe except for the first half day in Sepang, I started to feel better and started working on the bike to improve the feeling. But I think I can be very happy with the new bike‘.
