KTM secured Pedro Acosta in MotoGP by promoting him this year to the premier class through the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 satellite team. However, they have more open spots for 2025 and have now expressed interest in Marc Márquez.
The six-time MotoGP champion joined Gresini this year, where he rides a Ducati and is already making waves. Francesco Guidotti, team manager of KTM, admitted to Sky Sport that he would like to have Márquez and Acosta on board, but he expressed skepticism about the older of the two Spaniards joining the project:
– We already have an advantage in the decisions to be made, as we already have Pedro. As for Marc, I don’t hide that I would like to have him in any way. Having both would be a great deal. But he has done very well with Ducati and it seems strange to me that he would want to change to three different bikes in three years, although it’s just because of his age. I think he will play his cards with this bike, even in the future.
