Marco Bezzecchi finished the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix in 14th place. It was a tough round for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, who couldn’t find a way to be competitive at Losail.
The Italian didn’t hide his disappointment, talking about the many difficulties he felt: ‘It was a tough Sunday for me unfortunately. We took a step forward in the warm-up; I was very happy because I finally felt good on the bike again. But then, when the race started, I immediately had a lot of front-end locking in braking. I can’t explain why to myself, and from that moment on I really started losing feeling in braking, losing feeling on entry, and was slower in the corners, accelerating earlier because I lacked speed on entry. I also finished my rear tire very early. I tried to manage it, but I think that 11 laps from the end I was already on the power map C – the lowest power I had, but I missed half of the race‘.
Segundo Bezzecchi se sacaron conclusiones de este GP de Qatar, esperando un mejor rendimiento en Portugal: ‘Fue un fin de semana muy difícil para mí. Encontramos algunas cosas interesantes, pero también vimos que es muy complicado mejorar cuando el fin de semana comienza de manera difícil. Ojalá en Portimão podamos encontrar una base mejor el viernes para intentar ser mejores el sábado y el domingo’.
