This was a Sunday to forget for Raúl Fernández in Losail, as even before the start of the race the Spanish rider had problems with his RS-GP, which forced the race to be delayed for a few minutes. An electrical issue was the cause of his problems.
Here is the rider’s explanation of what happened: ‘Today I am very frustrated, honestly. After the Warm Up, I found out that we had much more than what we saw. We had an electrical problem on the grid and couldn’t use the bike. I had to switch to the other one, which had used tires and was very difficult to manage’.
And he concluded: ‘Anyway, I am very happy to see that we are really competitive. Day after day we have to improve and I hope that in the future something like this doesn’t happen’
