Miguel Oliveira couldn’t translate his promising speed into results at the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix. This Sunday he finished only 15th in the main race in Losail, also being hampered by a Long Lap penalty that threw him to the back of the pack.
The Trackhouse Racing driver stated after the race: ‘It seemed like a very promising weekend, we had good speed on Saturday, and we just couldn’t make it happen in the race with the Long Lap. This penalty really hurt us, I had to do the Long Lap early in the race when the group was more compact, and I simply lost time and position on track. So I had to recover some positions when I was trying to save the tire. So, several things happening at the same time, it wasn’t easy‘.
