Miguel Oliveira was unable to translate his promising speed into results at the Qatar GP of MotoGP. This Sunday he finished only 15th in the main race in Losail, also being hindered by a Long Lap penalty that threw him to the back of the pack.

This penalty really hurt us, I had to do the Long Lap early in the race when the group was more compact, and I simply lost time and position on track. So I had to recover some positions while trying to save the tire. So, several things happening at the same time, it wasn’t easy’.
In a race where he had to recover, Oliveira tried to attack in the final phase, but without much success, closing an unsatisfactory weekend with only one point: ‘I tried to attack a lot at the end to try to gain some time when everyone else was struggling, but I couldn’t.
