Miguel Oliveira was eliminated in the first stage of the MotoGP Qatar GP qualifying, starting from 14th. The Trackhouse Racing rider even managed to be the fastest for a moment, but only reached fourth in Q1.
With his first flying lap, #88 took the lead in the timing table, but soon returned to the pits and dropped to third. Although he improved upon returning to the track, Oliveira remained in third.
By not improving on his final lap, the Portuguese rider ended up dropping to fourth, which means he will start from 14th. His teammate, Raúl Fernández, led Q1 and will be fighting for a top 12 qualifying spot.
