Joan Mir did not have an easy time at the Catalunya MotoGP, finishing in a modest 17th place. Without scoring points in main races since the Portugal GP, he now arrives at the San Marino GP with the goal of improving compared to Barcelona.
The Repsol Honda rider said he expects to perform better with the higher asphalt grip: ‘Of course, the goal is to be better here in Misano than last weekend. It’s a track that overall has more grip than Barcelona, which I think will immediately give us some improvements‘.
Regarding his approach to the San Marino GP, Mir stated: ‘We need to keep working as a team and trying out some things to improve the feeling and challenge the other Honda riders as we have done in various moments this year. Let’s have a productive weekend and avoid crashes in order to be in good condition for the test‘.
