The new BMW F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS: The new premium mid-range touring enduros provide a purer and more fun driving experience due to their even more sophisticated off-road, touring, and adventure capabilities.
With the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS, BMW Motorrad is significantly expanding its mid-range touring enduro range.
While the new BMW F 800 GS is the ideal motorcycle, especially for entry-level riders, the BMW F 900 GS Adventure is very suitable for long adventure trips and demanding long rides. All three models have been significantly updated and now offer, among other things, an even higher level of standard equipment, as well as a new transmission.
The F 900 GS features many far-reaching innovations. The range of uses of the motorcycle has been considerably expanded thanks to its improved off-road qualities, combined with a substantial weight reduction of 14 kg compared to the previous model, making it a particularly sporty F Series model.
Riding with advanced 2-cylinder in-line engine with increased capacity, more power, and engine drag torque control. In the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS, the advanced 2-cylinder in-line engine introduced in 2018 with the F 850 GS provides greater driving dynamics. The main reason for this is the increased capacity of 895 cc (previously 853 cc). With a firing interval of 270/450 degrees, the engine produces a particularly emotive sound. In the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure, it has a power output of 77 kW (105 hp) and in the F 800 GS 64 kW
(87 hp). In addition to a significant increase in peak power of 10 hp each, the new engines are also characterized by a much fuller torque curve, greater traction force, and faster acceleration.
Two riding modes, ABS Pro, and DTC as standard. Pro riding modes with additional riding modes, pre-selection of riding mode, and engine drag torque control as optional standard equipment.
The new GS models from the F series already offer the two “Rain” and “Road” driving modes as standard. The DTC dynamic traction control, ABS Pro optimized for curves, and dynamic brake lighting. With the “Pro driving modes” available as optional factory equipment, the dynamic qualities of the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS can be explored even more intensely thanks to additional driving modes, pre-selection of the driving mode, engine drag torque control, as well as Dynamic Brake Control DBC.
