In the morning testing session at Misano, Jack Miller focused mainly on how he rides the KTM RC16 and aspects related to the bike’s setup. However, he has some things to test further during the afternoon and he is happy with the progress made so far.
‘This test couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s good to be able to ride and focus on some small things, focus on my riding and what we have in the setup. It was a good morning so far, and I had fun, the track was a bit dirty in the morning but quickly improved. The bike is working well, we tested a few things here and there and there are more things to do in the afternoon but I’ve already been faster than I had been all weekend with the medium tire and I’m very happy with the progress so far,’ number 43 said, before praising the team and the hard work they are putting in, not forgetting that he has more work and components to test in the afternoon:
– I am very happy with how things are going with the bike. We clearly have a base bike that we are focusing on as the main base, we can say that and that is the main thing. We have, as I said, some things to test during the afternoon and the guys have been working hard, even all night, where they just finished working at three in the morning, doing what they can to give me and Brad [Binder] the best.
Asked if he is testing only a new chassis or a new engine, Miller replied: ‘That’s your job, you can come and take a look whenever you want, we’re not hiding anything’.
Regarding the Indian GP, the next round of the championship, Miller was brief in words: ‘Let’s wait and see. I will bring some food, wash my hands, and that’s basically it, and I will be on a weight loss program, that’s basically it’ [laughs].
