Brad Binder finished today’s Misano MotoGP tests in good shape after being third in the second session, following a 13th place in the morning session. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider was pleased with the work done and expressed a desire regarding the chassis he had the opportunity to try.
First, Binder talked about the morning session: ‘Today was a good day. The track was very dirty this morning and we took advantage of the first hour to clean it up a bit, but other than that it was a positive day. I did a lot of laps, in the afternoon as well, we were jumping between many things, different setups and more. I felt pretty good, can’t complain.’
Regarding the work done, #33 made a wish for the chassis, saying that all the ones he tested had good and bad aspects: ‘Today I rode with two or three chassis and all had positive aspects, to be honest. Positive and negative. Honestly, some of them turned a little better, others had a little more grip, and I think if they can make a good combination it will be great.’.
The South African also tested the new Michelin tire for the tests, but could not give a correct opinion on its performance due to the track conditions: ‘I tried the test tire at the end. I used the rear and didn’t feel anything special. For me, I need a little more grip on the left side edge, but I don’t know, but it was honestly very difficult to understand these tests because, at the end of the day, the track is very full of rubber, literally: so much grip that you can’t fool a foot.
