After the summer break of about two months, the engines of the Miguel Oliveira Racing Team pilots are now warming up again for what will be the 5th round of the Spanish Superbike Championship – ESBK, which will take place this weekend, between September 15th and 17th, in Navarra, northern Spain.
After the race at home, at the legendary Estoril Circuit – the only race of the ESBK scheduled in Portugal -, Miguel Oliveira’s pupils reveal the natural excitement of being back on the competitive grids of the Spanish Speed Championship, this time in Navarra, representing the name of Miguel Oliveira. Particularly, Navarra marks the return to competition for 14-year-old rider Afonso Almeida #10, as he was sidelined by injury, but he is now 100% recovered and ready for battles on the Spanish asphalt. On the other hand, Jean Kento Turner #30, the ‘rookie’ of the MO Racing Team, expresses great anticipation to tackle the circuit and position himself as high as possible in the standings.During the past week, Jean Kento Turner #30 and Afonso Almeida #10, both PreMoto3 riders, headed to Navarra for private tests at the circuit, under the watchful eye of Paulo Oliveira, for a first contact with the Spanish track of about 4 thousand meters. “After some time away from competition, given the summer break, it is always important for the riders to have some time to return to contact with the tracks and the sensations that a certain layout gives them, so that they feel as confident as possible in their trajectories and throughout the various curves,” confided Paulo Oliveira, Technical Director of the Miguel Oliveira Racing Team. “We continue with important information for Navarra and with the mission of being competitive in this round of the ESBK,” he concluded.
