Regarding the lighting, Zaniboni’s attractive design is complemented with LED technology applied to all its elements. The front headlight reflects a sporty character, with its narrow and elongated double optics, complete with luminous guides in “L” shape on the outer and lower sides of the optics, serving as position lights; each optic includes two LED headlights, with the low beam located inside and the high beam on the outside. The front turn signals, with rows of four diodes, are positioned vertically just below the headlight, on the sides, leaving space between them for a pair of triangular air intakes that contribute to increasing its sporty aggressiveness. Above the headlight is the transparent windshield that helps protect the rider from the air displacement while riding, as well as from cold and rain.
The rear light group also displays its unique luminous signature full of freshness. The position light is based on a “T” shaped luminous guide, with the brake light shining more intensely on both sides of the vertical line of the “T” and completing the set with an “L” shape for the turn signals. A nice detail that helps increase the active safety of this scooter is the ESS system, which was first introduced in the SR4 scooter and consists of flashing the stop lights at a high frequency in case of sudden emergency braking, to warn the vehicles following the SR1 of the dangerous situation.
The chassis of the Voge SR1 has also been developed in depth, with a frame optimized for stiffness and composite materials, accompanied by a set of suspensions that incorporate the latest technologies previously used in the development of the SR4 Max scooter to achieve maximum comfort for both rider and passenger, while maintaining the scooter’s firmness when taking curves. The front fork has 31 mm diameter stanchions and a 93 mm travel, while the pair of shock absorbers used includes dual spring passage and adjustable preload, providing a 103 mm travel. All of this is complemented by the choice of “medium wheel” tires with diameters of 14 and 13 inches, with wide sections in low profile: 110/70 and 130/70, respectively. Both wheels are equipped with 240 mm and 220 mm disc brakes for the front and rear trains, respectively, with their corresponding floating calipers and double and single pistons. The braking system includes an independent dual-channel ABS modulator, and, completing the electronic safety equipment, a TCS traction control system that prevents rear wheel traction loss on low grip surfaces, both during acceleration and when taking curves, by adjusting the engine torque delivery. The mechanics of the SR1 underwent a profound development with extensive dynamic tests in which the prototypes each ran over 60,000 km, as well as durability tests on engine test benches, for over 200 uninterrupted hours to demonstrate total robustness and long product life reliability. Similarly, the frame and seat, whose seams are waterproof, were subjected to stress tests of 150,000 cycles.
The new powertrain features liquid cooling (radiator next to the right side of the engine), rocker arm head with bearings to minimize friction, and a variator transmission with double-sided toothed belt, delivering a maximum power (measured in the homologation laboratory) of 8.5 kW (11.56 hp) at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 11 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This new engine also stands out for its nonexistent vibration levels, noise levels below homologation directives, and a low average consumption recorded at 2.2 liters per 100 km, resulting in a range of over 360 km.
As a daily transportation tool, the Voge SR1 responds with functional equipment. The volume under the seat is 29 liters, enough capacity to easily accommodate a full-face helmet, leaving space behind it to carry other small objects. This main cargo compartment is complemented by a glove compartment on the upper left of the counter-shield, where you can charge your mobile phone on the go, using the USB power outlet. For instrumentation, a color digital screen with negative characters (white on black background) is relied upon. It is the same as shared with its sister, the 125R sport naked, and therefore with a high informative content. In addition to the obligatory speedometer with large digits, a tachometer, graphic levels of temperature and fuel content, clock, average consumption, voltmeter, and total/partial odometer are added, along with a wide range of warning lights. The instrument panel integrates a photoelectric sensor that automatically adjusts the screen brightness intensity according to the external luminosity.
The Voge SR1 comes with pre-installation of a high-definition HD video camera (1080 pixels) with which you can immortalize your favorite routes on an SD card.
The new Voge SR1 is available at VOGE Portugal, at a launch price of 2.995€, with the promotion of a SHAD SH39 top case (which doubles the load capacity for two full-face helmets) for 50€, and, just like the rest of the VOGE range, with 5 years of warranty.
The SR1 will be available in three colors: white, silver, and grey.
