Finished with another 12th place in a challenging MotoGP Indian GP for Miguel Oliveira. This Sunday, the man from CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team didn’t have many chances to do better in the main race, facing difficulties.
The Portuguese rider explained: ‘It was a tough race. I couldn’t be competitive throughout the weekend. Now, during the race, it was obvious that our weaknesses were really standing out: the exit of the slow corners, the acceleration there wasn’t the best. So, we had to make up time in other areas where maybe we loaded the front tire more, etc… there’s nothing more, really’.
Oliveira also lamented the qualifying, in addition to admitting that for the first time in 2023 he was unable to overcome the difficulties: ‘It was also a shame not to have been able to qualify better. That’s it. It was really the first weekend where I had real difficulties and couldn’t turn things around for myself. I’m looking forward to going to Japan and see what we can do there‘.
Asked if the different tires for the Indian GP could be the origin of the lack of competitiveness, #88 replied: ‘It could be a combination of this carcass and the rubber. We probably had difficulties for that reason, somehow. It was probably a combination of both things: the carcass and the bike‘.
