Jorge Martín had a tough race in the main MotoGP race in India. The rider got dehydrated in the final laps, but still withstood the pressure from Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) to secure second place.
The Prima Pramac Spaniard revealed to the press the physical difficulties he faced: ‘You have to trust me when I say I gave 100 percent. I got dehydrated with eight laps to go, so it was very hard to finish the race. Still, I was able to maintain a good pace. On the last lap, I made a big mistake due to dehydration and went wide, so Fabio overtook me. But I managed to overtake back, so I am very happy to get this second place’.
Happy with the recovery of points in the World Championship, Martín emphasized that he will have to maintain the same approach: ‘I feel super happy for the team and we also recovered some points in the championship. I think we have to maintain the same mentality with which we came here: try to win, try to be competitive in all the training sessions. And this is the way to shorten the distance’.
