Riccardo Rossi will start a new chapter of his career in the Moto3 World Championship next season. The rider will represent the CFMoto Factory Team, where Xavier Artigas remains.
It was in 2019 that Rossi entered the category, having gone through Gresini, BOE and, in the last two seasons, SIC58 Squadra Corse. Two third places are his best results so far.
As for Artigas, he made his full-time debut in 2021 and in that year achieved his only victory so far. After debuting for Leopard Racing, the Italian has been with CFMoto Racing PrüstelGP since last season.
Florian Prüstel, management director, explained the choice of riders: ‘As a factory team, there will be several novelties for us next year. We have already been able to test the new Pirelli tires, but the bike itself will also undergo some changes. The calendar is becoming even more international, so we decided very early on that we trust the experience and safety of the current Moto3 riders‘.
Regarding Artigas, the German commented: ‘We are still committed to the Spanish rider Xavier Artigas, we firmly believe in him and his potential. He already has a victory in Moto3 and other podiums, so we know he has what it takes to be at the front of the pack. By extending his collaboration, we want to give him the confidence to focus fully on the current season. Xavi is a very talented and ambitious rider with a clear goal in mind, just like us. We will work hard together to achieve the best performances on track‘.
As for the expectations surrounding Rossi, Prüstel mentioned: ‘We have been watching Riccardo Rossi for some time and now we have signed him. We are very excited to work together, because Riccardo has also been able to have his highs in the Moto3 pack in the past. Having him as a CFMoto factory rider will strengthen us as a team in the World Championship and we can move forward together‘.
