This Indian GP saw another strong performance from the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team duo that left Wilco Zeelenberg clearly excited. Raúl Fernández was the highlight of this Sunday, while Miguel Oliveira also scored some points.
The Team Director of CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team was ‘happy’ with the performance shown on a new track: ‘We have just finished our first race here in Indian soil and, honestly, we were quite pleased with the layout of the track and the performance of the whole grid. Of course, it’s not an easy weekend when you arrive at a new track’.
He did not forget that the riders’ bikes also had some problems, which had not been seen before, but he still praised the overall result of the team, where Fernández stood out the most: ‘The guys and also the bikes were not as good as in Misano and Barcelona. But we have both guys in the points, a 10th for Raúl, which is very positive. Last time, we were in sixth and eighth and now in 10th and 12th, which means good points’.
Zeelenberg also said that, although positive, it is not a result to get too excited about and is already thinking about the next race, in Japan: ‘Anyway, it’s not something to celebrate big time, but the fact that both riders finished a tough race like this is very important. So, we will keep this experience for next year. We will now focus on Motegi, where we will already be working in three days. Job done here, so we can move on to the next round’.
