On September 27, 2023, Brabus and KTM announced the launch of their latest motorcycle in their trilogy: the Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition. Only 50 of these extremely exclusive motorcycles will be manufactured and sold worldwide, with 25 offered in Onyx Black and 25 offered in Diamond White. Both variants benefit from finishes in a tone that Brabus calls Frozen Gold, along with a Brabus carbon fiber fairing even more special than ever.
This is the third collaboration between Brabus and KTM, and all have been based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo. The first was the Brabus 1300 R, launched in February 2022, with a total of 154 motorcycles, also available in two colors. That series sold out in less than two minutes. Then came the Brabus 1300 R Edition 23, which consisted of a total of 290 motorcycles, also offered in a choice of two colors. It also sold out almost instantly upon release.
The Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition is equipped with the KTM LC8 two-cylinder engine, which produces 180 hp at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The 0-100 km/h time is reportedly 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 270 km/h.Although Brabus has been comfortable with most of the parts of this bike, the suspension tasks are performed by a WP Apex semi-active suspension that offers an automatic mode and a manually adjustable mode. It also has a WP Apex Pro 7117 steering damper. The brakes consist of a pair of 4-piston Brembo Stylema calipers at the front with floating 320 mm rotors, along with a 2-piston Brembo caliper and a single 240 mm disc at the back. Riding modes, quickshifter, cornering ABS, supermoto mode, and an adaptive brake light are all standard.
Now it’s time to talk about Brabus in all of this. Brabus has been in the automotive tuning game since 1977, with recognized specialties in carbon fiber, leather, and CNC machined parts. It is common to see the company’s name alongside partners like Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Maybach, and in recent years, KTM.
If it’s Brabus, how do you surpass the work done on previous editions of the 1300 R? By increasing exclusivity and carbon fiber, of course. With only 25 units of each color to be produced, it is evident that very few people will own one of these Masterpiece Editions. As for the carbon fiber, Brabus has added a swing arm cover, dashboard cover, connector cover, and rear side fairing covers to its already extensive list of carbon parts and accessories located from the headlight to the taillight.

There is a large round Brabus LED headlight at the front, as well as side fairings with MotoGP-inspired wings, a front spoiler, and a rear with a single seat and license plate holder. The wheels are Brabus Monoblock Z “Gold Platinum” alloy units, exclusively manufactured by Brabus for this bike. Additional details manufactured by Brabus include a triple CNC caliper, adjustable CNC brake and clutch levers, CNC aluminum brake and clutch reservoir covers, adjustable CNC footrests, rearview mirrors, and dual slip-on exhaust with Frozen Gold details.
The grips and seat are heated and the seat features an exclusive Brabus “Diamond Rising” quilted leather pattern. The Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition also includes a special Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece emblem on the seat, a custom-made Brabus indoor motorcycle cover, carbon floor mat, and key box.
