Marco Bezzecchi won the MotoGP Indian GP, a result that allowed him to be 44 points behind the championship leader – Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). It’s a situation that pleases the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider, although he continues to take it race by race.
The #72 said in a press conference: ‘I’m still not thinking about the championship because it’s very long. But anyway, being closer, I would be lying if I said I don’t like it. Because being able to fight with Pecco and Jorge [Martín], also with Brad [Binder] because he is close… they are incredible riders, so for me it’s an honor‘.
After the victory in India, Bezzecchi made sure to dedicate it to a friend who passed away: ‘In this race I just wanted to enjoy the day. It was not an easy week for me, because unfortunately I lost a friend a few days ago. So, I want to dedicate this to him and his family and enjoy the moment. And then I will go to Japan, which is a track that I really like‘.
