Marco Bezzecchi is Cal Crutchlow’s bet for the title, as he himself said in the preview of his return to MotoGP, now in Motegi. The Yamaha test rider revealed who his bet was on the main title contender, even before the start of the championship, but now sees Jorge Martín as the one who is in the “pole position” to win the title.
This is how Crutchlow sees the title fight this year: ‘I would bet on Bezzecchi, because I bet money on him at the beginning of the year and the odds were great: ‘I’m shaking today, make sure you win, because it’s like a podium bonus if you win.’ I hope Bezzecchi wins, but I think Martín is the one who will win’.
Francesco Bagnaia was not forgotten but for Crutchlow #89 is the kind of rider who gives everything: ‘Bagnaia could do it too. I like Bezzecchi because I like his style, and I like Pecco because he is very clean as a rider and as a professional. But I like Martín because he goes for it, tries to lead, even if sometimes it doesn’t work, but he is fighting’.
