The MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix sprint race ended with a 14th place for Miguel Oliveira. The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was unable to make significant advances during the 12 laps of the race in Motegi, finishing four positions below his teammate Raúl Fernández.
Oliveira had a modest start from 16th position, dropping to the back before climbing to 17th. By the end of the first lap, he was back to his starting position.
He settled into 16th place. Midway through the race, he was close to the riders immediately ahead of him, Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha) and Augusto Fernández (GasGas Tech3/KTM). However, the chase group was also close behind, led by Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha).
With four laps to go, Oliveira made progress by overtaking Morbidelli to reach 15th. However, Augusto Fernández was already far ahead, nearly a second in front.
A track exit from Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) promoted Oliveira to 14th shortly after. Until the end, the rider from Almada did not progress further in the classification, crossing the finish line in 14th, 1.040s behind the rival immediately ahead – Joan Mir (Repsol Honda).
