Pedro Acosta showed satisfaction in finishing the Moto2 Grand Prix of Japan in the last spot on the podium, behind winner Somkiat Chantra and second-placed Ai Ogura.
‘It was a really tough race. I made a mistake in the first corner. I miscalculated the start… After that, I was at a distance that I couldn’t recover from. However, this podium means more than others because I wasn’t as good as in other weekends. It’s good numbers and points for the championship, we are doing a good job,’ said the KTM rider to DAZN.
Whatever happens until the end of this season, 19-year-old Acosta has already ensured that he wants to stay in the Moto2 world championship next season, even though he doesn’t know which team he will race for, whether he stays with KTM or switches teams.
