Marc Márquez has been talking about the uncertainty surrounding his future, stating that it keeps him awake at night and has been a significant source of stress, an unpleasant situation but… that seems to “motivate” opponents to joke about the current moment. At the Japanese GP after the Warm Up session, Cal Crutchlow and Jack Miller were some of the riders who, in a more relaxed tone, ended up “teasing” the Spaniard
With the future undefined (at least officially), he had in Motegi – Honda’s home GP – more moments of joking from some of the opponents.
Crutchlow, currently a Yamaha test rider but who rode the Honda RC213V for several years with LCR, asked Márquez if he knew the iconic song by The Clash ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’, which translated into Portuguese means ‘Should I Stay or Go’ (Although) which provoked a laugh from Márquez.
Shortly after, it was Miller’s turn to also joke with #93: ‘I’m going to get all the information: Marc! Where are you going next year?’, to which the Spaniard replied: ‘To your place’, and Miller didn’t hold back: ‘You can keep him. I’m going home!’
