Needless to say, Aprilia has set the bar high in the mid-size adventure motorcycle segment with the release of the Tuareg 660 in 2021. The Italian enduro-adventure model, alongside the Yamaha Tenere 700, remains one of the two favorite machines for adventure riders with a tendency for off-road riding. That being said, the Tuareg 660 strikes a balance between maneuverability, performance, and comfort, making it suitable for riders of all backgrounds.
For the year 2024, there aren’t many changes to the Aprilia Tuareg 660. The Noale company has given its mid-size adventure-enduro new color schemes, further highlighting the off-road inspired roots of the bike. In total, three new colors were introduced: Atreides Black, Canyon Sand, and Dakar Podium. The first two are inspired by the rugged terrain of off-road, the natural environment of the bike, while the Dakar Podium, as the name suggests, pays tribute to the brand’s performance in the 2010 Dakar Rally with the Aprilia RXV 4.5.
Another detail that catches the eye is the use of a red frame in all three colors. This gives the bike a more aggressive and race-inspired look. Personally, I think it looks great with the Atreides Black version, as the red frame stands out against the black fairing.
Besides the new colors, Aprilia keeps the 2024 Tuareg 660 unchanged, and it’s easy to see why. The Tuareg 660 is one of the most competent ADV bikes on the market. This was demonstrated by its third place in the Transanatolia Rally during its international debut. The next big challenge the bike will face is the African desert. In fact, Aprilia is working hard on this aspect and has even launched a project called “Back to Africa”.
To make the experiences even better, Aprilia is expanding the range of original accessories for the 2024 Tuareg 660 model. The brand has introduced a specialized air filter for dusty off-road conditions, ensuring optimal engine performance and longevity, regardless of where you choose to ride.
