Prime Stadium, promoter of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, together with the FIM (International Motorcycling Federation), has confirmed the dates and locations for the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship 2024. After the epic finale in Santiago do Cacém in 2023, the championship will also start in Portugal, in Fafe. The 2024 season will last six months, starting in Portugal and ending in France, returning to three countries that have not hosted this event for several years.
Starting where the 2023 championship ended, the 2024 season will begin with two rounds in Portugal. As the only races on consecutive weekends of the year, the season opener will set the tone for the next year, taking advantage of the challenging terrain in northern Portugal, near Fafe. A week later, the season moves to Valpaços, the location of the penultimate stage of the 2023 championship.
In May, the EnduroGP World Championship will head to Romania, to Bacau, in what will be the easternmost event of the championship. It marks the return of EnduroGP to Romania after an 11-year absence. The Italian GP will be the fourth stage of the 2024 championship, this time in Bettola, two hours south of Milan. This will be the race that marks the halfway point of the championship.
In the final stretch, the championship will visit Gelnica, Slovakia, in July, for the fifth stage. As Gelnica hosted FIM EnduroGP World Championship races in 2022 and 2023, the riders will already know what to expect from the challenging forest tracks. After Slovakia, there is a reserve date set for the end of July.
The Welsh GP will return to the calendar as the penultimate event of the series. Rhayader, a popular area for both enduro and motocross, last hosted a World Championship event in 1992. It will undoubtedly be an exciting race to add to the 2024 season.
Finally, the FIM EnduroGP World Championship of 2024 will end in mid-September with the GP of France in Brioude, which has already been the scene of other exciting Championship finals. Brioude, along with the other six host locations, ensures that 2024 will have a memorable EnduroGP World Championship.
The first two rounds of the championship in Portugal, along with the GP of Italy, the GP of Wales, and the GP of France, will form the Women’s Enduro World Championship, which will have five stages in 2024.
