Miguel Oliveira was close to scoring points in the sprint race of the Indonesian MotoGP Grand Prix. After starting in 12th, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider finished the race on Saturday in Mandalika in tenth place, when only the top nine score points.
At the start, the rider from Almada lost a position, dropping to 13th. His choice was two soft tires. In the first lap, he regained the 12th position, thanks to the fall of Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) in front of him.
In the second lap, Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) were involved in a crash, which promoted Oliveira to the top ten of the race.
The rider from Almada spent several laps in ninth place, which would give him points, until he was overtaken by Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) in the seventh lap.
Until the end, Oliveira did not have the means to keep up with the Australian, finishing in a lonely tenth place 1.090s behind, without having to worry about the opponents following behind him.
