Francesco Bagnaia broke a series of winless races at the Indonesian MotoGP Grand Prix. And the moments had such a significance for the Ducati man that on the last lap he considerably slowed down and took the opportunity to enjoy.
The Italian explained in a press conference that he was enjoying that lap after the difficult period he had: ‘I was really enjoying the lap, because after Barcelona it was very difficult. Bagnaia then explained his approach to that last lap: ‘I started the lap with 0.7s, I arrived at the second sector with 0.6s, so I said: “I can do the last part of the circuit more relaxed”. And maybe it was too much, because watching the videos I didn’t think they were so close. I took turns 15 and 16 very, very slowly.
