It was with a golden touch that Ivo Lopes closed out the Superbikes weekend in Navarra for another round of the Spanish Championship. These days will hardly be forgotten as the Portuguese rider once again made history and renewed the ESBK title, and in a message shared on social media, he did not fail to thank all those who have been following him.
Here is the post from the Portuguese rider on social media, where Lopes did not hesitate to express his gratitude for everything that has been happening in his life, with the title he secured this Saturday very present in his analysis:
– Gratitude. The greatest feeling I have at this moment is gratitude, for everything that life has given me and for everything I have been learning from it. Yesterday’s race ended up being very different from what I had planned, I had a better tire option but chose not to use it and the idea was to take the lead and open up the biggest gap possible. I couldn’t do it but I was very fast and managed to lead until three laps from the end when Ramos passed me and then Gutierrez as well, and I entered the last lap in third. Gutierrez wanted to win and I positioned myself in the last corner so that if they made any mistakes I would be in a position to take advantage and so it was, I ended up winning the race and securing the Spanish champion title.
Then came an analysis of Sunday’s race, where once again I showed superiority over my opponents, and where I managed to be even more dominant: ‘Today this Sunday the race was quite different, I started very fast and without any pressure. I started in the front, gained advantage, managed and ended up winning another victory’.
Lopes also did not hide his happiness and gratitude for everyone who has been following his journey, with the fans also deserving a word, and with him showing confidence that he will have more successes in his career:
– I have to thank everyone who has been following me because gratitude is something we believe in very much. And I also thank God very much because He is making me a better person and a better pilot. I am very happy and I know that better things are still ahead for me but we are firmly grounded and must have faith and patience.
And concluded: ‘I am very grateful to Portugal for everything they have given me and for the unconditional support they have shown me, and that energy has been very important. Throughout the next week, I will share more images of this incredible weekend with you, so stay tuned. Thank you team!’
