The rumors pointing to Miguel Oliveira joining Repsol Honda next MotoGP season continue. Although he doesn’t rule out this possibility, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider remains focused on his current project alongside the Malaysian team and Aprilia.
In an interview with SportTV, the Portuguese rider spoke about his future: ‘I continue to focus on the same thing, which is what I have concretely in my career, which is Aprilia and RNF. I have my agreement with them until the end of 2024. Of course, when the world’s largest manufacturer approaches us for a possible factory seat, we never close that door – and that door logically remains open because they have not announced any rider yet. But until there are concrete things, I can’t say anything’.
Asked to speak about whether contractual duration and salary are aspects that separate him from an agreement with Honda, Oliveira refused to reveal details: ‘I’m not going to say anything, it would be quite unpleasant of me to reveal that kind of thing. My commitment is with Aprilia, it’s with them, and that’s what I’m focused on dedicating myself to’.
