Pedro Acosta could become champion as early as next weekend, when the Thai Grand Prix will take place. To celebrate at the Thai circuit, the Spaniard will need to score 19 more points than Tony Arbolino, the runner-up. At the moment, Acosta’s advantage is 56 points.
‘I see that I will have to steal 19 points from Arbolino’, the current Moto2 World Championship leader began by saying.
‘We will have to do our job and move forward. And if it’s not in Thailand, then let it be in the next race or another one’, he told the newspaper AS.
In the Spaniard’s view, the equation to become world champion will involve a victory in the Thai GP, as long as Arbolino does not finish higher than 11th, or if he finishes second and the Italian does not finish higher than 15th.
