The last rounds of the MotoGP World Championship were not the easiest for Francesco Bagnaia, but he still managed to contain and counteract the setbacks in the championship standings and even extended his lead. Now, the Ducati man faces the Thai GP with more confidence.
The reigning champion said before this race that there are upcoming circuits where he has traditionally been more competitive in the past: ‘I am happy to return here to Thailand, where the heat and the passion of the fans are always incredible. After Japan, Indonesia, and Australia, tracks where we also struggled last year, it is good to return to compete on circuits where we have usually been fast’.
On the other hand, Bagnaia believes he will be competitive regardless of the weather conditions: ‘Last year we competed in difficult rainy conditions, and we were competitive, finishing third. The weather will be uncertain again this year, but I am confident that we can perform well in any conditions. I can’t wait to get back on the track in Buriram!’
